The Human Genetics department is seeking a highly motivated Principal Computational Researcher to maximize the use of a wide variety of complex genetic datasets for drug
discovery and precision medicine. Data types utilized in the Human Genetics department are diverse and range from genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data linked to comprehensive
phenotypic data. The ideal candidate will have experience in the management of scientific projects and the analysis of large datasets. Experience with large-scale genomic association
studies in complex genetic diseases and epidemiology, as well as understanding of electronic health record data for research use, are highly desirable. Requirements include proficiency in
high-level programming languages and a strong statistical computing background.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in human genetics, translational biology, or similar scientific fields that include analytical and biologic interpretation of human genetic data. We will also
consider candidates with educational backgrounds such as computer science who have a strong grasp of the analysis of human genetic and clinical data. Applicants must have core
computational skills necessary to carry out the above responsibilities and strong written, communication, and organizational skills.
