Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead AI projects that find insights from biological data such as time series, genomics, proteomic or metabolomics data
• Lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, to training machine learning model
• Work with scientists, research associates and clinical scientists, statisticians and database specialists across the company
• Direct and support publications in high quality scientific journals
• Maintain expert knowledge and contribute to best practices on application of AI/ML/DL and analytical techniques

Desired Qualifications

• PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computational Biology/Chemistry, bioinformatics)
• Experience with Python and basic libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn and deep learning framework such as TensorFlow/PyTorch/Keras 
• Experience with RNAseq data, systems biology tools, and pathway analysis
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with applying AI/ML them towards disease modeling

Relocation benefits are available for this job posting

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $122,000-$226,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
