Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

At Stripe, we’re dedicated to helping millions of companies worldwide to find the financial products they need to grow their businesses. That’s why our Global Selling team focuses on building out the products and services that make it simple and easy for our users to do business across borders. The team is building products such as FX API's, FX capabilities, cross-border funds flows, and more.

You will solve challenging and ambiguous business problems all while operating with autonomy in a dynamic, high-growth environment. If this sounds exciting, we hope you will join us!

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with product, engineering, finance, and marketing teams to identify and prioritize the most important data science projects
  • Build scalable automation solutions utilizing SQL, Spark, and visualization tools
  • Work cross-functionally to unblock and fund new product capabilities

Who you are

We’re looking for an experienced data scientist to partner with the Global Selling team to support the growth of our products and develop new ones. If you are excited about building the products needed for running Global Businesses, are passionate about data-driven product development, and are energized by designing strategic metrics and causal analyses, then we want to hear from you!

  • Expertise in statistics and experimental design.
  • Ability to communicate results clearly and a focus on driving impact.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Preferred qualifications
  • Prior experience with product data science team or enthusiasm to learn.
  • Familiarity with the broader fintech industry, latest trends, challenges, and regulatory environment.
  • Understanding of Global Business landscape, including awareness of topics such as international business regulations, monetary systems, and tax laws.

Hybrid work at Stripe

Our Chicago, Dublin, and Singapore teams spend at least 50% of their time in their local offices. We believe that more in-person interactions will contribute to better results for our employees and Stripe. Increased office time allows for improved collaboration, efficiency, and informal learning opportunities, fostering a stronger community and building our culture. We will apply the insights gained from these initial three locations to continue refining our hybrid approach.
