Job Description

• Qualifications: Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, Statistics or related quantitative field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience in data mining, developing/implementing statistical models, machine learning models, algorithms or visualizing data. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, Statistics or related quantitative field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in data mining, developing/implementing statistical models, machine learning models, algorithms or visualizing data. Must have 3 years of experience with the following: Statistical programming languages: R, Python, SQL, and SAS; Power BI; Advanced Data Mining; and Advanced Data Analysis. Advanced knowledge of statistics and modeling techniques. Knowledge of current programming languages and current and emerging data visualization techniques. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead multiple projects. Position allows for telecommuting from home within commuting distance of Chicago, IL.
