Job Description

The Moffitt Cancer Analytics Platform (MCAP) Product Owner (PO) is a member of the Health Informatics department in Health Data Services. The MCAP PO will bridge gaps between clinical, research, and operational stakeholders and technical teams across the Center for Digital Health. The primary responsibilities of the PO are to ensure MCAP stakeholders' data-related needs are met in a timely manner, and the platform continues to take advantage of the most innovative architecture, technologies, and services to accelerate discovery and facilitate the evolution of Moffitt's suite of downstream analytic products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure successful delivery of MCAP services and products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of data-related enhancements and delivery of associated services and products.
• Gathers requirements from stakeholders, articulating value to leadership, driving prioritization efforts, establishing consensus, and developing RACIs and timelines.
• Utilize productization principles to develop and maintain roadmaps with milestones that define planned features, enhancements, and releases for MCAP products.
• Collaborate with clinical, research, and operational stakeholders to document requests for MCAP work, align requests to strategic goals, define user stories, and assign tasks to technical teams for completion and value delivery.
• Continuously explore new technologies, services, and tools and assess their applications to MCAP and associated products.

Credentials and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Manager, or consultant; preferred 7 years of experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or BI Developer working on large-scale data processing and analytics platforms in development and support roles; preferred 5 years of experience.
• Preferred PMI Certified Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scrum Master Certified (SMC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
• Experience working with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, and analytic tools required.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analyses required.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, self-service data enablement, and complex queries required.
• Intermediate SQL knowledge and skills required; advanced SQL knowledge and skills preferred.
• Experience with product management and productization principles required.
• Knowledge and experience employing agile methodologies in product management required.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
• Flexible work style and comfort working in a flat organizational structure.
• Proficiency working in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure,
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Snowflake experience preferred.
• Knowledge of data integration techniques, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts preferred.
• Experience working with healthcare data (structured, unstructured, and semi-structured) preferred.
