Supply Chain Data Scientist, We are looking for a Data Scientist practitioner to join the Global planning team in Bangalore that is excited about data and applying cutting-edge techniques to analyze and leverage vast amounts of information in Supply Chain Product Operations for insight and action. This role requires to work independently and influence to challenge existing strategies, processes, and execution elements to ensure all functional areas adhere to the process. This position is part of the Global planning and Fulfillment team and will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and system solutions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support Design, Solutioning and/or Brain Storming Supply Chain business problems, identify and draw on leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and new insights to the issues through data analysis. 
  • Identify trends, invent new ways of looking at data, and get creative to drive improvements in both existing and future products.
  • Provide thought leadership in analytics, modeling, and drive to promote team’s capability and output. Mentor team members and collaborate internally and externally to solve business problems
  • Projects, analysis & reporting, and other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Pro-actively recommend process/system improvements and manage implementation/change management for existing and/or new Solutions.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.
  • Liaison effectively with multiple stakeholders and other functional disciplines. Collaborate with other cross-functional, manufacturing, supplier, and IT teams for end-to-end delivery of solutions use cases.

  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns that will enhance our supply chain resiliency, deliver products with a focus on customer first experience, and empower our team to flourish and thrive.
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection and reporting processes
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data. Define and develop the program for metrics creation, data collection, modeling, and the operational performance of Global planning and fulfillment operations.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
  • Standardize data processes across Supply Chain Operations in conjunction with the Business Intelligence team
  • Present information using data visualization techniques
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Responsible to define and execute strategies to improve key business metrics impacting customer service and inventory and/or Supply chain Costs – for existing and/or new analytical solutions.
  • Responsible for identifying problems/issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and follow-up with stakeholders to ensure positive results.
  • Responsible for creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Spec Documents (FSDs) etc. for tracking and effort estimates.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to internal management and clients.
  • Communicate on supply chain issues root cause, corrective action and full recovery date to business and management.
  • Project management, including time and risk management and project structuring as per situation demands.
  • Provide mentorship to other members of the team on development of best practices for design and implementation of cutting-edge analytics insights

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science/Statistics/Computer Science/Engineering/a graduate degree in Data Science and/or quantitative field is preferred.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment will be preferred.
  • Experience with demand, inventory, and/or supply planning is highly preferred
  • 5+ Yrs Experience in data mining, statistical analysis, modeling, optimization, or similar analytics 
  • 5+ years Understanding of artificial intelligence and machine-learning concepts
  • 7+ years Knowledge of SQL, Python and R; familiarity with C++ is an asset
  • Experience with Alteryx workflow design 
  • Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Working knowledge of data frameworks such as Snowflake
  • Experience with Databricks AI/ML; familiarity with Jupyter Notebook is beneficial
  • Inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques
  • Analytical mind and driven to solve complex problems
  • Problem-solving proficiency. Well-organized, a self-starter, independent and ready to work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in an environment where problems are not always well-defined
  • Ability to communicate data insights in appropriate detail to all levels of the organization
