Job Description

As a part of the Vehicle Motion, Comfort and Energy Efficiency team, you will be developing fast-running machine learning models for our electric autonomous vehicles, with focus on energy consumption and efficiency on a vehicle, subsystem and component level. As we grow our purpose-built robotaxi fleet and expand to different markets, your methodology and data-driven models will help us increase the accuracy of our vehicle range and efficiency predictions for various cities, drive cycles and other boundary conditions, as well as enable the creation of very fast online predictors (horizon models) in our software stack. This will allow for, not only better understanding and minimizing the energy consumption for a single vehicle, but also maximizing uptime and operational efficiency for our whole fleet.

Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Energy/Power, Vehicle/Automotive or Controls Engineering (or related field)
• Python/C++
• Experience in energy modeling of electric autonomous vehicles, including electric powertrains and other high- and low-voltage consumers
• Experience with machine learning algorithms (e.g neural networks), working with time series vehicle test data, MATLAB/Simulink
• Bonus/Nice-to-Have: Experience in Energy & Power Management Control Strategies

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
