Job Description

Zoox is looking for experienced software engineers who can design, implement and maintain data-intensive and large-scale distributed systems. Our systems use large amounts of real-world driving data combined with high-fidelity simulation. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and scaling Automated ML platform capabilities. You will work cross-functionally with engineers in AI, simulation, and data science to push the boundaries of scalability and performance, and bring state-of-the-art machine learning and optimization applications to production.

Responsibilities

• Build the foundational blocks of an automated ML platform and improve its core capabilities
• Design and support large-scale infrastructure services
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects
• Keep up with the state-of-the-art AI frameworks
• Communicate your work to other teams at Zoox

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in architecting and scaling distributed systems in production
• Experience building large-scale data pipelines
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Fluency in Python

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale software services on the cloud
• Experience with hyperparameter optimization
• Experience with autonomous vehicles
• Experience with AWS Fluency in C++
• Experience with Javascript and Vue or other JS frameworks

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $221,000 to $319,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
