In this role you will lead and develop a product management team with a focus on Core Platforms. You will ensure Western Union has the best-in-class solutions, which provide the best possible customer experience, while achieving the success metrics.

Role Responsibilities

  • This role will lead the strategy of legacy core remittance systems that support bank-end services and cater to all front-end needs. They will drive back-end solution consistency and ensure data quality to drive customer satisfaction, seamless experiences and repeat business.
  • Lead through product lifecycle from requirement definition to ongoing optimizations and enhancements.
  • Be the key driver for identifying new opportunities. Drive product strategy in partnership with cross-functional teams and own roadmap of capability build and scale.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with business teams, data science, engineering to define & refine long term vision.
  • Lead in-house teams using agile scrum methodology drafting product research, requirements, prioritizing features, metrics analysis, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, capability development, testing, launch and collaborating with scrum team members.
  • Ensure product features are delivered according to specification.
  • Be the subject matter expert of the product and an advocate of customer needs.
  • Manage products ensuring proper alignment and approvals are obtained from Business, Legal, Compliance, Privacy and Infosec.

Role Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as product manager with a complete understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of financial compliance and compliance systems
  • People management experience
  • FinTech background, with a deep understanding of digital ecosystems and databases
  • Highly skilled and able to discuss, explain and present High Level technical concepts to senior leadership without much help from the technical team.
  • Deep knowledge regarding how mobile and web applications are built with knowledge of monitoring and measuring the performance, working of APIs, basic knowledge of databases and architecture and designs.
  • Able to drive, lead and take tradeoffs and make high-value decisions on complex technology products.
  • Experience working with technology teams and contributing to the technical leadership.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to constantly deep dive and take data-driven decisions.
  • Experience driving projects with cross functional colleagues, especially Technology.
  • Strong business writing, presentation, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to a broad range of audiences.
  • Great attention to detail coupled with experience seeing the bigger picture, prioritizing competing needs and providing extreme clarity to your team.
  • Experience creating wireframes, workflow diagrams, product features & stories.

Salary

The salary range is $121,774.62 – $202,957.70 USD per year; total on-target compensation includes a base salary, short-term incentive and long- term incentive that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
