Senior Data Science Analyst, Pricing – Denver, CO; New York, NY; or Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days On-site)

In this role, you will work with other leaders in the Pricing Data Science team to design and develop pricing and consumer behavioral models to deliver business results at scale.

Role Responsibilities

• Focus on driving and supporting pricing-specific initiatives at Western Union by using Data Science techniques to measure customer price sensitivity, predict customer behavior & conversion to achieve business financial and customer relationship objectives.
• Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and models and collaborate with fellow Global Pricing team members to provide insights and recommendations
• Partner with Pricing Strategy Analysts on the Global Pricing team to ensure the models developed accurately represent the business environment and that model results are actionable.
• Create presentations that describe model results and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ yrs experience working in Data Science or Data Science Analytics.
• Demonstrated experience developing data models.
• Skilled in data wrangling & modeling (Python preferred), database querying (SQL), and use of cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Sagemaker).
• Knowledge of best-practice modeling techniques for one or more of the following: price elasticity, consumer demand modeling, experimental design, time series analysis, forecasting, or optimization.
• Ability to rapidly synthesize data and model results into insights & recommendations (i.e., taking the “What” and defining the “So What” and “Now What”).
• Strong communication skills — helps manage expectations, gives real-time feedback, clarifies for alignment and understanding, appreciates other points of view, active listener.
• Pricing, Revenue Management, or Financial Services experience is a plus!

Salary

The base salary range is $85,600.00 – $146,100.00 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
