Day to Day Responsibilities:

• The position will lead/join a team to develop a solution of a measurement system, based on the technical fundamentals, performance and manufacturing cost, with a focus on area of optic inspection equipment and precision positioning method.
• The person will support software programming of the equipment and conduct testing and verification. Software development includes image capture and recognition, user interface design, data processing, data communication to PLC and generation of equipment qualification reports.
• He/she will design and improve software systems that can meet requirements of production line speed.
• He/she will develop solutions to simplify operation of equipment so that operators and technicians change products in production efficiently.
• Document work and communication project status and technical updates to team and operation team.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 2+ years hands on work in software of equipment control and machine vision development.

Required Skills

• Creative/innovative problem solving and the ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly.
• Strong technical fundamentals with computer data structure and algorithm, operation system.
• Strong equipment testing practices. Can identify image features of target and develop corresponding algorithm.
• Familiar with Visual Studio programing environment
• Experience with C++, python, C# programming and Microsoft SQL.
• Experience in Solidworks, Auto-CAD preferred.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written, including creating detailed software documents, and reporting out or presentation within team

Desired Skills

• Experience in optical measurement development, machine vision and machine learning algorithm.
• Experience in manufacturing execution system
• Familiar with equipment protocol communication
• Knowledge of Optic and Automation, PLC control is plus.

• Ownership of achieving goal. Urgency to meet objectives; flexibility to adapt in changing environment
• Willing to take initiative and demonstrate leadership.
