Job Description

The Principal Product Manager - Exaswitch works as a strategist with stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs. This position drives matrixed product teams through influence as well as task assignment authority, mentoring all team members to fulfill the product vision. will work with customers, sales teams, and services teams to identify product use cases and drive key features, enhancements, and requirements.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Strong technical background in optical and IP protocols
  • Successful track record in taking products from conception to market including
    • Sale training
    • Marketing launches
    • Pricing
  • Responsible for full profit and loss for the product including manage operating and capital budget to maximize ROI and business value
  • Past experience working with cloud providers
  • Own the execution of the product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Obtain and use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and to drive actions.
  • Establish a Product Manager Community of Practice to enable continuous learning and strengthening of product management across the organization.
  • Utilizes highly developed communication skills to facilitate project and service-related conversations and presentations with technology senior leaders, managers, directors and peers across multiple teams.
  • Administers, leads, optimizes, and operationalizes activities and procedures supporting the day-to-day work necessary for supporting our products across the organization.
  • Bring best-in-class market and industry insights to platform and product strategy.
  • Provide direction and vision to drive roadmap priorities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Field, Marketing, Design, Engineering, and other teams on new processes to evolve product capabilities.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

  • Knowledge of products and technologies in the Cloud and Networking area to create a customer centric product.
  • 8 or more years of demonstrated full-lifecycle ownership of product development, with cross team and cross discipline execution.
  • Ability to earn trust at all levels of a large organization and drive alignment.
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for the quality of all deliverables
  • Ability to conceptualize and develop resolutions to complex market challenges and customer use cases that require the use of creativity

    High degree of organization and is able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, Communications or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist Certified or equivalent
  • ML and AI implementation

Preferred:

  • A certification to support an Agile Product Development process (e.g. PMI CPE, CPO etc.) and / or Data Science, AI/ML certifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Salesforce Advanced Admin or Architect certified
  • AIPMM, Innovation Leader
