Job Description

We are looking for an individual to join our Network Implementations Reporting and Analytics team who is excited to solve data problems and evolve our data stories in fast paced highly visible team. As a Sr. Lead Data Engineer you will be the backbone of the team managing multiple schemas, (sourcing, cleansing, and transforming the data), and leading our team to the future of what data can do for the business. Working together with the team of reporting analysts and BI developers to solve business problems through data, automation, and dashboards. The data solutions built and operated by you would rival the absolute best in the industry in engineering, operations, and usability excellence.

• Main Responsibilities: 
• Manage multiple schemas in Oracle DBMS including sourcing, cleansing, designing, developing, ETL work, data views/tables/stored procedures.
• Clearly communicate analysis and complex concepts to non-technical audiences orally and verbally.
• Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of solutions. 
• Perform ad hoc and recurring reporting and analysis as needed. 
• Collaborate with team mates to support needs creatively to provide appropriate insights to the business.
• Collaborate with?project teams to synthesize findings and develop data-driven narratives and strategies. 
• Work with the business and other data developers to determine what to source, how to source, and how to connect to it.
• Validation of data tables / views created
• Enhance and performance tune pipelines

What We Look For in a Candidate

Qualifications:

• Advanced experience building data models and performing complex queries using SQL 
• Advanced experience performance tuning large datasets 
• Advanced experience building large data pipelines and/or web services 
• 1+ years of experience in building integration with upstream and downstream systems with REST APIs 
• Advanced experience in complex data development 
• Experience in defining business requirements - prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis. 
• Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment. 
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills 
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams, drive issues to closure 
• Strong understanding of data engineering and data stewardship roles in an organization 
• Strong time management and organization skills. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. 
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field such as Statistics or Data Science 
• Oracle DBMS data development and management experience
• Experience creating and managing ETLs and Stored Procedures 
• Analyze data to provide meaningful insights. This individual must have strong data manipulation and interpretation skills.
