Requirements

The AI team is responsible for designing and building the next generation AI / ML architecture for EDA tools. Towards this end, we are looking for a senior data scientist and AI/ML architect with expertise in delivering ML solutions for many challenging problems in EDA applications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate EDA and other problems and establish applicability of AI/ML techniques to solve such problems.
• Drive, lead, spec and implement the required AI/ML solution to meet the requirements.
• Work with the EDA teams to gather data and analyze suitability.
• Improve model performance with techniques like data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, model architecture investigation, transfer learning, etc.
• Collaborate with the platform engineering team to define the deployment strategy and ML Ops for the model.
• Define guidelines for best-practices, methodology, and solutions.
• Create project plan and roadmap in collaboration with the product teams; guide junior data scientists in implementation.
• Identify and research opportunities for technical innovation and drive the definition and delivery of market-leading solutions.

Requirements

• BS/MS EE/CS/CE with 10+ years of experience developing large scale ML models.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to guide efforts in solving complex problems in EDA. Solid foundation in statistics, applied mathematics or physics, EDA, and ML / AI technologies, etc.
• Research and development experience in one or more of the following:
• Combinatorial optimization problems such as scheduling, routing
• Continuous and discrete optimization problems such as linear programming, convex programming, non-convex programming
• Predictive analytics (e.g., forecasting, time-series, neural networks)
• Prescriptive analytics (e.g., stochastic optimization, bandits, reinforcement learning).
• Pro experience in one or more languages: C/C++, Python, R. Proven background in data structures, algorithms, performance, and scalability.
• Knowledge of Numpy/Pandas, Graph Libraries, Tensorflow, OpenCV, Pytorch, Scikit, NLTK, scipy, spacy, pyspark, fasttext
• Ability to work unaided, and exceptional verbal/written communication, leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are a must.

Desired skills

• Knowledge of Generative AI and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with Data Engineering tools such as Kafka, Spark, Hive, HDFS, Airflow, NOSQL Databases, in-memory databases such as redis, ignite
• Operating systems, IO/Memory/Compute subsystems, databases, scheduling, virtualization, networking, security, containerization
• Basic knowledge and familiarity with cloud techniques
