Job Description

Synopsys is looking for a Data Scientist to support business analytics for managing a billion+ dollar line of business. The position would support Business Unit planning, business development as well as management reporting and tracking.

You will work with business development, product marketing to understand business processes and product sales to provide insights and actionable business intelligence. You need a self-driving personality and be prepared to apply new and innovative methods including AI and Machine Learning. This will involve training yourself to utilize new tools and methods.

You will learn about business operations, business models and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and construct new processes for data modeling using algorithms and predictive models
• Experiment and implement proofs of concepts
• Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to execute projects from design to delivery
• Understand data lineage across the chain
• Process, cleanse and verify the integrity of data including ETL
• Acquire and shape data from disparate systems and public sources
• Implement and maintain source control methods
• Develop automation systems and frameworks which can be used by others
• Create visualizations, including dashboards we well as ad-hoc reports using pivot tables
• Understand the implications and draw business conclusions from data
• Answer questions on “Why did
• Continually learn and develop applicable technical and professional skills

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related degree
• Knowledge of SQL, DAX or Power Query ‘M’.
• Knowledge of Python, R and some experience is scripting
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Good communications skills
• Ability to innovate
• Arrange multiple sets of data and be prepared to write code
