Job Description

In the UK entity, the analytic solutions to be deployed focus particularly in Marketing Science and the deployment of our ‘MMO’ offer (Marketing Mix Optimization), either through analytics as a service or building industrialised solutions.

As a Senior Data Science Consultant at Ekimetrics, you will be operationally leading challenging data science projects with international clients across multiple industries (Auto, Beauty, Retail, Financial Services, etc.), and building bespoke analytics solutions to answer our clients’ key questions.

The primary focus of your role will be to lead project teams and ensure that we are delivering highly valuable and effective data science solutions that meet the client’s needs. You will also be supporting the Managers to engage and manage clients by answering their questions and sharing insights with them.

You will be working in teams of 3 to 6 consultants, on 2 to 3 projects simultaneously, and involved throughout the whole project lifecycle, from first discovery meetings all the way through to final recommendations. That means gathering and analysing data, building statistical models, and translating quantitative insights into actionable strategic recommendations!

As a Senior, you’ll be proactively supporting the Managers+ in building high-end client materials and commercial proposals and adding to our commercial viability by helping to find the right balance between project profitability and excellence in delivery.

Internally, you are an Eki ambassador, supporting the development of your junior colleagues and actively engaging in transversal topics, such as thought leadership, innovation streams, knowledge management, and recruitment.

Accountabilities

  1. Business Operator
  • Contribute to the design and scope of new projects, fitting the right analyses to the client questions;
  • Ensure clients’ business needs are achievable and Ekimetrics has appropriate resource to reach the promised outcomes;
  • Perfect delivery, ensuring high client satisfaction and making sure that issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner with no surprises;
  • Uncover actionable and easy to understand findings, and drive high levels of engagement within client organisations;
  • Support in the creation and identification of new business opportunities both externally and with existing clients.
  1. Project Management
  • Lead multiple project teams of 3 to 6 people to ensure high quality solutions that are delivered on time and are profitable;
  • Proactively resolve potential issues in a project before they arise and identify actions to improve client engagements;
  • Contribute to the development of junior consultants through knowledge sharing and mentorship;
  • Provide visible sponsorship to recruiting, retaining & engaging diverse talent within the team.

About You

We are looking for someone who can wear 2 hats – the data scientist and the strategic consultant – and so you’ll need to show both advanced analytics skills and a strong interest in marketing & business strategy.

You’ll need to have some prior experience of data science, analytics and modelling in a business setting, preferably in a consulting firm or other relevant service provider, or within a highly regarded global corporation with a strong reputation for analytics.

Our work is rooted in the creation of innovative analytics and data science tools so you must have an advanced knowledge of these in a commercial environment and an ability to conduct business & strategy assignments in order to create value and innovative customer engagements.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A Statistics, Economics, or degree in a similar analytical field; or
  • An Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related degree.

You’ll also need:

  • An ability to conduct business & strategy assignments in order to create value and innovative customer engagements;
  • A love of data, extensive knowledge in statistics or applied mathematics, and experience with techniques such as Machine Learning;
  • Show curiosity for Digital and Marketing Strategy and Marketing Measurement methodologies
  • Experience with software such as R, Stata, or Python;
  • The capacity to develop high impact thought leadership that articulates a forward-thinking view of the market.
