Job Description

This opening is for a recently awarded 5 year program that delivers a wide set of capabilities across the enterprise to include data management, data delivery, high ingest rate cloud architectures, and analytic platforms.

The Software Engineer 2.5 will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real- time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. The selected candidate will work individually or as part of a team, review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test result and resolve software problem reports. The candidate will also utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment, provide specific input to the software components of system design to include the following:hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off- the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four (4) years demonstrated experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++, etc
• Demonstrated ability to work experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase /Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
• At least three (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems
• Demonstrated experience developing RESTful services
• Experience developing software using Python
• Experience with graph analytics
• Experience using Mongo
• Experience in Data Mining
• Experience in Data science and Ontology
• Familiarity with Spring Boot
• Familiarity with Docker
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Elastic Search

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
