Job Description

Peraton is looking for a self-driven AWS/Cloud Data Architect to join our Financial and Regulatory Account team. The team is comprised of people with advanced technical & leadership skills in multiple areas, including Cloud and Application services and is responsible for successfully delivery and maintain customer relationships at Government agencies (Federal, State, and Local). This is a great opportunity to join a fast, agile company in providing secure solutions to our nation.This position offers a Hybrid telework. Must be able to work onsite as needed. The qualified candidate must be local to the DMV ( DC. MD, VA) area.

What you will do:

• Leads the design and implementation of an AWS big data solution which could include data warehousing and/or data lake approaches.
• Recommends and designs innovative data solutions using AWS cloud-native services.
• Guides the applications teams to adapt their application architectures to leverage AWS Data Analysis services such as Redshift and QuickSight, AWS Storage services such as S3 and RDS, and AWS Event/Data Processing Services such as Lambda, Glue, and SageMaker.
• Defines and designs system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
• Develops technical roadmaps for future implementations.
• Ensures security is integrated into all architecture solutions.
• Performs advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Acts as a subject-matter expert to multiple tasks and/or programs.
• Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
• Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
• Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.
• Provides high level expertise to multiple projects and tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree and 12 years of Information Technology industry experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree
• AWS and or Azure Certified Associate or Professional Architect
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer in Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or related certification
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, DoDAF, Zachman, etc.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

• Agile Certification
• VMWare Certified Professional Datacenter Virtualization
• SAFe Program Consultant Certification
