The Data Labeling team strives to consistently provide high quality data at scale to support Pinterest ML initiatives. We are a team of highly-skilled program managers on a mission to accelerate Pinterest growth and revenue by producing high quality training data fast, at scale to support ML initiatives and enhance Pinners experience.

As the Senior Project & Program Manager, you will manage this world class team, and continue to scale our Data Labeling strategy and operations by constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and quality.

This role is a perfect fit for someone looking to run a cross-functional program at scale and who can offer data labeling, vendor and budget management, product expertise and relevant knowledge to stakeholders working on any team at Pinterest. This is a multi-faceted role in a data-driven environment so leadership, flexibility, a strong work ethic, and impeccable communication are necessary.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee all our data labeling pipelines from inception to delivery, with the goal to deliver the highest quality results to your customers
  • Scale our operations, build solid processes to label data (guidelines, testing interface, staffing), and run multiple labeling work streams in parallel to meet OKRs
  • Manage our multi million dollar budget from planning to monthly reporting in alignment with our quarterly forecast
  • Manage our vendors and negotiate contracts
  • Manage a team of highly skilled program and project managers

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years of program / project management experience
  • A seasoned people manager with a passion for growing others
  • Active Pinterest user with a strong interest and understanding of our product
  • A background managing complex projects effectively by setting clear goals, designing solutions and tracking progress against deadlines
  • Strong track of organizational management, budgeting, and resource management
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and strong ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally
  • Experience presenting data as insights to stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and driving efficient processes at scale
  • Action-oriented collaborator who can effectively communicate and work with people across different teams, roles, and functions
  • Proficient with Excel, G Suite (Google docs, sheets and slides)
  • Comfort working in a fast-changing environment, with unexpected problems or a new relationship to forge around the corner at all times
