Job Description
This position is perfect for an individual who loves technology, wants to develop software for multiple projects, and write code with a motivated, diverse team. Heron Systems, a Shield AI company, is pushing the envelope by applying advanced AI solutions to real hardware systems. An ideal candidate should aspire to be a part of this industry-changing team developing and deploying advanced technology that can truly make an impact. This role is specifically to lead development of tooling and processes for analyzing AI behaviors.
Required qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, similar degree, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience working projects with 10+ contributors
- Strong ability to debug, optimize, refactor, and write tests
- Offers Fast, efficient, effective problem solving approaches
- Exceptional collaborator and communicator
- Comfortability within Unix environments
- Hard-working, trustworthy teammate
- Exhibits holding themselves and others to high standards
- Being kind to others
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning development and architectures (specifically reinforcement learning)
- Experience with GPU programming
- Experience with autonomous systems
- Experience with containerization
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and other agile principles
- Active SECRET clearance
