Who We Are:

The Create Standards team leverages a creative approach and quantitative skills to answer high-level business and strategy problem statements/challenges/questions through designing journeys to enable us to provide the highest level of care to create the best possible customer experience. This team is highly cross-functional and highly visible to senior leadership, solving the most complex problems from any part of the operations. The Create Standards team is an internal team that acts as a lighthouse for the wider business, that seeks to make improvements by shining the light on the true customer experience, learning from the good and the bad and driving change through people allocation, processes, and technology. The team is cross-functional in their approach, working with teams such as R&D, Transportation & Logistics, Warehouse Operations & Inventory Positioning, etc. in order to drive impactful change that benefits the customer.

We are seeking Interns to join the Data & Analytics team within Create - The Internship is for an expected period of 6 months. We are looking for recent graduates who are innovative, entrepreneurial, and action-oriented to join our Data & Analytics team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting Wayfair's customer service strategy through the delivery of data & analytics projects. Possessing excellent analytical and technical experience together with communication and collaboration skills to partner with key stakeholders across the global Wayfair organization.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify and visualize the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decision making and accelerate customer experience improvement
• Comprehend, extract, automate and model information from complex data sources to enable the delivery of business insights and recommendations
• Perform data analysis, including the application of advanced analytical techniques, to help solve critical and complex business problems
• Collaborate with internal & external teams to deliver projects/solutions and drive the implementation & adoption of your analytics insight
• Prepare and deliver team updates to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
• Support in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and other team standards as required

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management or other quantitative discipline field with strong academic record
• Technical proficiency in SQL, GCP, GBQ, Excel VBA, R, Python or other languages
• Data Visualization skills using tools like Data Studio, Looker or Tableau
• Fluent in English
• 1-3 years previous experience in a Data, Analytics or IT roles would be a plus
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and a desire to improve processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Enthusiastic, with proven ability to quickly get up to speed
