Job Description

This role is responsible for delivering actionable insights to inform marketing strategies via advance marketing analytics for the LAC Region and produce positive business results. If you are good with analysis, developing models and can tell a solid story using data; this could be the right position for you.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Produce insights and analyses to identify business opportunities, improve marketing initiative performance, provide strategic recommendations, and document key learnings and best practices
  • Work with internal/external clients to understand key business/campaign questions and lead project scoping, analytics design, and execution to produce actionable insights
  • Identify relevant market trends, based on a deep analysis of payment industry
  • Develop and deploy new analytical modeling and techniques within the organization
  • Utilize Visa's data and analytic capabilities, technology, and industry expertise to develop, standardize and improve consumer journey
  • Leverage and adapt current Visa scores and models to optimize campaign strategies
  • Inspire highest level of quality/rigor/thought leadership in reports & data analysis
  • Make recommendations and build use cases to effectively change consumer behavior and maximize revenue potential
  • Continuously research industry metrics and analytics approaches, to develop, improve and innovate Visa analytics practices
  • Evangelize consumer-centric analytics approaches and data-driven decision-making culture through internal training, documentation and by leading sharing sessions across the organization
  • Find opportunities to standardize, automate and enable self-service scalable analyses
  • Define hypothesis, tests and experiments to determine success benchmarks for campaigns
  • Engage and collaborate with Visa Data Science community and Global Marketing Analytics to leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
  • Create and execute model governance, including development, validation, testing, production and monitoring phases

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • 8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science or Operations Research
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese, Spanish is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science or Operations Research
  • 9+ years of relevant industry experience in analytics/CRM in a leading commercial brand, consulting firm or technology company (experience in retail/financial services/digital payments)
  • Previous experience on consumer behavior studies, marketing campaign targeting and effectiveness and CLTV
  • Solid experience in big data analytics and statistical modeling in SAS including SAS E. Miner, SAS E. Guide and SPSS
  • Work with large volumes of data; extract and manipulate large datasets using tools such as Hadoop Ecosystem, Apache Spark, Hive/R/SAS, through scripting in Python, SQL, Java etc.
  • Hands-on skills in cleaning, manipulating, analyzing, visualizing, and modeling large data sets
  • Strong business acumen to transform data and orient analysis according to business needs
  • Continuously develop and present innovative ideas based on data driven approach to improve current business practices within Visa
  • Excellent project management, organizational and story-telling presentation skills
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, Datorama
  • Team player, self-motivated, results oriented and able to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Experimental mindset, marketing, technology and digitally curious
