Software Development Engineer in Test

Our client is a fast-growing technology services company searching for passionate, collaborative team members to join the team. We are hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). In this role you will be developing highly performant code and designing test frameworks to improve the performance, testability and robustness of software delivered. Most of our work is built in the Microsoft ecosystem with a bias towards open platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes and .Net Core.

Job responsibilities:

• Full-stack development using .Net Core, Microsoft Azure, unit testing and mock data generation.
• Participating in test automation tool development that make testing and test automation easier
• Participating in agile software planning and development activities including daily standups, user story and task organization and grooming activities, and effort estimation
• Perform code reviews to ensure “testability” and “readability”
• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop documentation, designs, code and tests
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Experience with technologies and tools such as JavaScript, JSON, HTML5, Angular5, Azure
• Willingness to jump in where needed, learn new technologies, and work effectively across full stack
• Outstanding analytical and programming skills

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with common languages and frameworks such as C# or Java
• In-depth understanding of modern application design principles, DevOps, microservices and .NET
• Experience building enterprise-class software applications, preferably using workflow and dashboards
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to convey proposed solutions through natural language, diagrams, and design patterns
• S. in Computer Science or similar

Experience:

• .NET full-stack development ~ 3 years
• SQL Server ~ 2 years
• Azure ~ 1 year

Education:

• Technical degree, certification or substituting experience
