  • Microsoft heavy shop- azure, want cloud – but open to platform (AWS, Azure,
  • GCP)
  • Power BI- dashboards and reports
  • Create well-designed cloud datalake, data warehouse and reporting solutions
  • Need someone who is hands on
  • More distributed responsibilities
  • In addition to expanding their reporting capabilities, this resource will
  • harden their Data governance standards
  • They are on the ground floor; DA will provide strategic input, solutions for
  • improved data capabilities, stand up new datalake, etc.
  • Need to extract data in meaningful way, not just dashboards, rather,
  • predictive analytics
  • Pulling from data sources, batching it from data source, populate power BI.
  • Business can have self service model,
  • Extensive training program
  • Hylaine consulting – current data partner
  • SOW through end of year; will partner with this new Data Architect

Current team the architect will partner with:

  • Data engineer/ dev
  • BI analyst
  • Dev Manager
  • All for remote- Don’t need regional, but need EST

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least five years of development experience.
  • Database development experience with a relational database (ideally SQL
  • Server).
  • Ability to build conceptual, logical, and physical data models and data flows.
  • Experience with data modeling, data mining, data planning, data migration, data
  • definitions, and metadata systems development.
  • Understanding of Web services (SOAP, XML, UDDI, WSDL.
  • Understanding of Data Warehouse vs. Data Lake vs. Lakehouse concepts and
  • Some Cloud Experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Demonstrated ability with ETL tools, preferably Azure-based tools.
  • Experience with Python, C#, and SQL scripting language.
  • Experience with tier-one applications, databases, and data warehouses, such as
  • Oracle 9i, MS SQL Server, Crystal, SAP, SCM, Power BI, and so on.
  • Be a self-starter with a positive, open mind and considerate attitude toward
  • the responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to make sound decisions from observations and carry out instructions.
