Job Description

We are looking for an experienced ML/MLOps Engineer (f/m/d) to design, expand and build a solid engineering foundation within the Data Science team. Engineers take ownership over technical and product decisions, closely interact with users to collect feedback, and contribute to our thoughtful, dynamic team culture around the world.

The Global Data team focuses on complex, international, multi-domain problems affecting the core of Delivery Hero’s business and operations across the globe. Impact here drives millions of euros of value for the business. From building our global data backbone, to crafting scalable, production models and APIs, to generating actionable insights which can change the competitive landscape of continents. We’re a large, diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers comprising Platforms, Analytics, and Data Products. We drive value by helping Delivery Hero’s businesses, systems, and people make better decisions faster at scale. Your mission:

• Building a solid engineering foundation within the Data Science team.
• Creating and maintaining highly performant and scalable services to be used by millions of customers every day.
• Developing tools to enable Data Science teams and enhance their productivity throughout the organization.
• Grow and expand your expertise and Delivery Hero's ML technology stack.

Your skills:

• You have passion for secure, clean and beautiful code, with an eye for simplicity and pragmatism.
• Deep understanding of Python and its ecosystem, especially oriented to Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Experience delivering production grade ML models in real-time (REST API’s, microservices) and in batch fashion
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as code (terraform).
• You possess good knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AmazonWebServices or Google Cloud Platform).
• You love working in an environment where you constantly experiment and iterate quickly.
• Ability to think outside the box, being pragmatic and not limiting yourself to your environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Airflow
• Experience with Spark or comparable distributed data processing technologies
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
