What do you get to do in this position?

• Apply data science and machine learning methodologies, techniques, and algorithms to make buildings more intelligent, energy efficient, comfortable and manageable.
• The candidate will join one or more project teams (aka 'Squads') focused on Digital Buildings and Building Management Systems. The possibility exists to work on projects in other adjacent domains.
• This position will report to a Senior Product Manager within the AI Hub and will have close collaboration and mentoring from Senior Data Scientists and other technical staff.

What's in it for me?

• Contribute to new AI-powered software modules and features for Building Management Systems
• Explore data generated by building systems, visualize and model the data, and communicate findings
• Develop machine learning models that reveal building insights, predict building behaviors or events
• Compare the results from the different models and recommend the best models for promotion to production
• Learn about machine learning operations and industrialized ML platforms in an enterprise environment
• Work closely with Product Management to identify and define useful AI-powered software application features, and construct a roadmap to implement such features
• Design and deliver an optimal model for predictive analytics that helps software end users to anticipate major building events, and describes how to adjust building systems in order to avoid any undesirable behaviors.
• Work with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product Managers, Solutions Architects, and Scrum Masters to build working software intended for commercial software applications
• The candidate will need to demonstrate strong mathematical, reasoning and problem-solving skills to be involved in some research based on machine-learning and data modeling
• It is expected that the intern has working knowledge of data science workflows and methodologies, has experience building machine learning models, knows and applies tools such as Python, C++, C#, MS Visual Studio, SQL Server, Jupyter Notebooks, Tensorflow
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub and Matlab is a plus
