Job Description
The mission of the Energy Management Research Center (EMRC) is to synthesize tiv title=>he technical knowledge of Schneider Electric and ensure there is a consistent and credible presentation of this knowledge for consumption by customers, employees, and stakeholders with a goal to animate and institutionalize Schneider’s technical expertise. The EMRC engages with and supports marketing activation programs. The EMRC is passionate about helping and influencing customers to make informed business and technology decisions through accessible content for an average knowledgeable reader. The EMRC philosophy is to take positions that are backed by facts and research.
A Research Analyst is a member of the EMRC team, a group dedicated to promoting thought leadership in four Schneider Electric end Markets – Data Center, Buildings, Residential and Infrastructure. The EMRC conducts primary research, performs analysis, and publishes tools, white papers and reference designs.
Responsibilities
- Author white papers and supporting industry publication articles and blogs
- Contribute to the company’s strategic direction by assessing the impact of technology trends on the business
- Assist on executive level presentation development with research and analysis
- Consult with customers on their challenges
- Present at industry conferences
- Deliver internal presentations
- Consult with other Schneider Electric teams to promote innovation and mutual learning within the company
- Develop spreadsheet models for development of online tools
Qualifications
Skills required
- Highly developed listening skills in order to accurately interpret and communicate complex technical concepts
- Resourceful and proactive, with strong organization skills
- Ability to clearly communicate both business level and technical concepts
- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of individuals including marketing personnel, product management, application engineers, Chief Technical Officer, and business executives
- Motivated by curiosity about how technology creates business value while saving energy
- Critical thinker, problem solver, open-minded, and well versed in the philosophy of continuous improvement
- Ability to convert complex business concepts into simple-to-understand graphics
- Ability to present in public forums (such as speaker at trade shows / conferences)
- Ability to execute high visibility projects with limited direction from management
- BS in engineering or science MBA or MS in engineering preferredAdvanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point skills
- Advanced writing, editing and communication skills
