Software Engineer II is a hands-on Individual Contributor role. The individual in this role(Full stack engineer) will be part of a high-performance engineering team of front-end, backend and full stack engineers; that are responsible for creating and enhancing new products and features within the geek squad services portfolio of Online Experiences; with the primary responsibility of developing and supporting the highly scalable front-end and backend components for the website.

While this is a remote role, the candidate must live within a commutable distance of Richfield, MN, Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA or Seattle, WA.

Key position responsibilities include

• Develop front end components and libraries in JavaScript leveraging frameworks like React, Redux, Node JS and so on.
• Develop, test and maintain microservices and REST APIs in Java leveraging technologies like Spring, Spring boot.
• Write meaningful test cases to test the application at various level including unit test, functional test, performance test, regression test and load test – leveraging tools and technologies like JUnit, Spock, Cucumber, Selenium, JMeter and so on.
• Fostering an automation mindset and automating everything that could be automated (CI/CD pipelines, testing and so on).

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• 2 years of relevant experience architecting and building UI components and libraries using React, Redux and Node JS
• 2 years of relevant experience architecting and building microservices/API’s using Java

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in an agile and continuous delivery environment
• Experience using AWS
• Experience using GraphQL
• Experience in modern architecture practices include microservices architecture, event – driven architecture, etc.,
