The Location Decision Science team is the key data & analytics partner supporting decisions related to Best Buy’s Real Estate, Portfolio & Experience strategies. With a goal of optimizing market opportunity, the team is engaged in a wide range of capabilities including location strategy, market analysis, customer behavior evaluation, store experience test & measurement, spatial data visualization, and GIS development.
The Director of Decision Science - Location Strategy leads the Location Strategy/Market Analysis team, partnering directly with Real Estate and Finance leaders to develop market growth strategies and deliver recommendations on store and supply chain location decisions across the portfolio. This leader has a foundation in retail location strategy, site selection, forecasting and data modeling, assessment of key performance drivers, and development of innovative research methodologies. The role requires strong financial acumen, communication skills, and the ability to present complex analyses to executive leadership.
