Job Description

Your success will hinge on your ability to guide a team of skilled ML/AI engineers, fostering a collaborative environment while building strong partnerships with engineering leaders, UX designers, product management, and security experts. At Meraki, engineering thrives on collaboration, and you will work closely with your team and multi-functional partners to drive the development and integration of ML/AI based features into the Dashboard platform.

You Will:

  • Work with the senior engineering leaders, product management, and others to set the technical vision for the Meraki Assurance ML/AI roadmap.
  • Guide ML engineering team through defining short, medium, and long-term goals to achieve the vision.
  • Help with the recruiting strategy to build a diverse and inclusive team: driving decisions on whom the team needs to hire.
  • Mentor and coach engineers through technical challenges.
  • Work on projects that span numerous networking domains and systems — to help our ML solutions scale by handling enormous amounts of data.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in machine learning, data engineering, software engineering, Dev/Ops or related fields.
  • Experience in building large scale AI models and systems using MLOps practices; including deep learning models using frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch
  • Experience working in a team to write robust, maintainable, and extendable code in Python and/or R.
  • Experience with complex data sets, ETL pipelines, SQL, and general data engineering
  • Expertise with cloud architecture and technologies like Amazon Web Services, Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform

Bonus points:

  • Experience building scalable and production ready Generative AI solutions
  • Have understanding of Realtime technologies such as Kafka, ClickHouse.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
