As part of the Applied AI team at DataRobot, you will collaborate closely with customers, bringing expertise in data science, application development, and the DataRobot platform to help them achieve their organization’s objectives with AI. You’ll work with clients across various industries on diverse use cases, collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders, including executives, data scientists, software developers, engineers, and analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-sales:
- Represent the DataRobot product to a variety of customer personas, from data scientists to C-level executives.
- Lead product demonstrations, align DataRobot to customers’ goals, guide the Proof of Value process, and quantify the business impact of DataRobot.
- Influence customers through thought leadership by translating complex technical terms and processes into business outcomes and value-based messaging.
Post-sales:
- Serve as the DataRobot product and data science subject matter expert by leading implementation, advising on use case viability, and helping develop Joint Success Plans (JSP).
- Ensure customer success by helping achieve quantifiable Value Realization Indicators, leading to renewals/expansions, and promoting growth for both customers and DataRobot.
- Act as a trusted advisor on AI across the customer lifecycle, solving complex data science problems using DataRobot, including problem framing, data preparation, scripting, model building, model deployment, and application development.
General:
- Represent the voice of the customer internally to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
- Present at conferences and assist in creating marketing content.
Key Relationships:
- Collaborate across the GTM organization, including Sales, Customer Success, and other Applied AI Experts' teams.
- Provide feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Support teams based on field insights.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluency in English; additional European languages (German, French, Spanish) are a plus.
- Experience with consultative sales processes in the data/analytics marketplace.
- Proven ability to manage complex customer organizations.
- Hands-on experience building and implementing predictive or generative AI models.
- Familiarity with various technical tools for data manipulation.
- Ability to understand, write, and collaborate in Python or R.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure successful AI outcomes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Regional travel may be required.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a pre-sales role or Data Science/predictive modeling/Generative AI.
- 4+ years of experience in customer-facing roles.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative subject.
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
