About the team

The Capital Markets AI/ML CoE team is a horizontal CoE for Capital Markets that is helping us drive revenue and bring significant savings to our businesses by identifying, exploring, and implementing AI/ML solutions.

The Capital Markets is one of the two verticals in FIS. It has various products and solutions in funds management, cleared derivatives, commercial lending, corporate treasury, insurance risk electronic trading, RegTech, wealth and retirement etc.

The team consists of highly motivated solution architects, data scientists and ML engineers.

About the role

As an ML Engineer, you will be working on developing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions across the organization.

What you will be doing

• As an ML Engineer, you will be working on developing cutting-edge AI/ML solutions across the organization.
• Design, build, and optimize machine learning models for various applications, such as natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics, etc.
• Data preprocessing and feature engineering: Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into usable features for model training.
• Good understanding of machine learning concepts around regression, classification, clustering, dimensionality reduction etc.
• Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and fine-tune hyperparameters to achieve optimal results.
• Understanding of GenAI and its applications.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools.

 What you will need

• 10+ years of industry experience
• Proficiency in Python.
• Good-to-have: Experience in additional programming languages (Good to have Java or C# or both).
• Hands on with frameworks and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, pandas etc.
• Rest services using Flask or FastAPI
• SQLAlchemy, Pydantic data modelling
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• Experience of working with at least one relational database.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI Studios.
• Experience with MLOps
• Solid software engineering skills (version control, testing, debugging).
• Hands-on experience in solving practical problems using GenAI
