Development Manager - IVR/Conversational AI -8 to 15 yrs - Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai/Chennai/Gurgaon

In-house team focusing on development and customization of IVR applications for Financial Institutions and Banks

What you will be doing

  • Designs and develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.
  • Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
  • Performs product design, bug verification and beta support which may require research and analysis.
  • Resolves critical issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
  • Manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews.
  • Identifies and allocates technical resources, e.g., programmers, business analysts to client projects within Development. Includes a mix of FTEs assigned to the development organization and purchased resources from other lines of business.
  • Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.
  • Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources’ billable time.
  • Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.
  • Adheres to the departmental application development and client delivery process standards.
  • Provides input on product direction to product managers.
  • Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures proper application of technology.

  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience with Conversational AI tools like Nuance Mix.
  • Strong knowledge of Conversational AI development.
  • Experience in the design/development of IVR applications.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills and familiarity in monitoring and instrumentation tools.
  • Hands-on development experience on Conversational AI tools such as Nuance mix.
  • Strong foundationson VXML concepts and technologies, and preferable to have familiarity with tools & plugins such as Nuance, Concentrix, Avaya, GVP etc.
  • Experience in NoSQL database such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, Hbase , Database (Oracle, SQL server, Db2, Postgres), SQL and knowledge of DB concepts, integration technologies with other applications.
  • Experience creating REST and SOAP based web services with Python, Java, .Net. NodeJs.
  • Should be able to understand business requirements and translate to architecture/software development.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience in the design/development of Java/J2EE applications, hands-on experience with VS code, eclipse with plugins, JDT, WDT and diagramming frameworks. Strong knowledge in Java, design patterns, database, big data (Apache spark) and messaging & event streaming platform (Kafka, Flink etc.)
  • Defining the vision for the team’s product
  • Creating a product road map based on this vision
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Developing user stories
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Strong in Documentation with experience of working in an Agile based delivery model.
  • Ability to make effective decisions and can manage change
