Job Description

Are you passionate about data science and Artificial Intelligence algorithms for businesses? Do you want to improve your skills in building efficient, state-of-the-art NLP and Computer Vision models? Do you also want to see your models deployed in production and scale up? Join us !

You will support experienced data scientists on one or more missions of the Artificial Intelligence division of the DataLab of Société Générale Assurances.

Concretely, you will be required to:

• Improve the performance and functionalities of our existing AI algorithms for the classification and automatic extraction of information in scanned documents, the analysis of customer verbatims to detect recurring themes or the automatic summary of telephone calls. In addition to handling advanced Transformers-type models and multi-task architectures, you will also participate in the entire process of a data science project, from project framing to industrialization in the IS.
• Ensure the scaling up and industrialization of models developed in the form of APIs usable by the Information System.
• Contribute to internal experiments on recent advances in NLP: generative AI, Question answering, models underlying ChatGPT and other open source equivalents).
• Contribute to the production of one-off statistical studies based on knowledge of our customers.

AND IF IT WERE YOU ?

• You are a Bac +5 student in an engineering school or statistics/data science university.
• You have in-depth knowledge of statistics and programming.
• You have a good knowledge of Python libraries for Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision: Keras (Tensorflow), Hugging Face, Spacy, OpenCV.
• Software stack used: internal mlops framework based on Kedro, Mlflow and Gitlab in which you will be trained upon your arrival. All development will be done in Python.

Required: Python and standard ML libraries / Are a plus: Git, Gitlab, MLflow, Spark, Kedro

Position to be filled in Work-study program, based in La Défense, for a period of 1 year from September 2024.
