We’re looking for a talented data scientist to join our rapidly growing team. The Data Science - Coaching team delivers models and algorithms that help our members better understand their bodies and reach their sleep, training, and recovery goals. We leverage a wide array of statistical and data science techniques at scale. We’re looking for someone who is excited to work with physiological data and can help us identify new opportunities to use this data to provide value to our members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop statistical and machine learning models to build member-facing production features. 
• Work with data and software engineers to productize models and algorithms as appropriate. 
• Work closely with the product team to ensure we’re delivering maximal member-value.
• Reports to the Data Science - Coaching Technical Lead. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years experience applying advanced data science techniques
• Proficiency in frequentist and Bayesian statistics, optimization, and machine learning
• Proficiency in data visualization
• Proficiency in scientific Python and SQL
• Ability to formulate hypotheses, draw conclusions and deliver results
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present findings to stakeholders and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding of exercise physiology or athletic experience is preferred
