Applied Materials’ Engineering Optics group is searching for Software Engineer to join our team. The position will entail the following:

  • Responsible for the full cycle of software development, from architecture design to implementation of custom opto-mechanical tooling, facilitating experiment while maturing the software to the final product
  • Troubleshoot a variety of difficult software problems. Perform software tests on code and enhancements.
  • Perform and document engineering reports under direct supervision

Requirements

  • Candidate must hold an advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field.
  • Extended experience in C++, Python, computer vision, embedded development, multithreading, real time application, web service and source control.
  • Machine learning, robotics or optics project experience is a plus.

U.S. Salary Range: $128,000.00 - $176,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
