Job Description

The Senior Manager will lead a team of engineers including software engineers, data engineers along with ML OPS engineers to create machine learning and data platform / solutions to provide best in class experience for our customers. Operate as a thought leader and visionary, with the ability to guide/architect/deliver an ML platform and influence across data science/engineering and analytical functions. This position will work with data scientist and engineers to build a platform to effectively train and operationalize algorithms and models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish scalable, efficient processes for large scale data analysis, model development and model implementation.
• Ensure successful delivery of the products milestone.
• Develop the Feature engineering & ML/Ops roadmap using the most appropriate technologies, manage, and expand ML & data teams to support growth.
• Communicate with product management and engineering teams on problem definition and present findings in easily understood ways for efficient model building and deployment.
• Mentor and develop the technical and business skills of ML Ops and data engineers.
• Define best practices and articulate a clear vision for how data pipelines, ML pipelines should be done.
• Partners with the product team to help inform the priorities within a set of products, applications, and/or services
• Manages software engineers who design, build and maintain solutions within a set of technology products and/or services; oversees the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions
• Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management
• Resolves escalated issues throughout the development, configuration, and modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions
• Creates and/or leads the creation of SOPs, KPIs, and overall operationalization of assigned services or applications
• Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities; monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments
• Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, support and scalability of robust, reliable and secure software solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with 2+ years leadership experience, including experience leading data engineering and data analytics.
• Track record of successfully recruiting, developing and retaining top talent from leading organizations.
• Strong background and hands-on experience with software development in complex production-quality software in python and Java
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Comfortable with CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience with Git version control, and other software adjacent tools
• Comprehensive knowledge of data platform architecture, data modeling, database optimization, data management practices and processes.
• Strong understanding of agile software development principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
