Position Overview

  • We are seeking a talented individual with general expertise and demonstrated achievement in process systems engineering, process control and data science.
  • You will be a member of the Development Team that is responsible for developing data-driven analytics solutions to optimize semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Your work will involve developing algorithms to analyze diverse data sets to address a variety of high value engineering issues.
  • These tools will then be used to enhance hardware performance for both internal and external customers.
  • The ideal candidate should be comfortable working cross-functionally as well as delivering results independently.
  • The position requires willingness to learn new technologies, solving complex problems, identifying innovative solutions and troubleshooting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop new ML/DL algorithms that is applicable for Semiconductor Industry problems within highly cross-functional work environment
  • Develop data pipeline / modeling pipeline that can be integrated with the Applied AIX TM platform
  • Evaluate and optimize the data-driven modules for product deployment
  • Fine tune application performance, troubleshoot and resolve algorithm / data processing issues
  • Serve as a technical communicator with customer if needed
  • Thrive in a dynamic, multi-team fast-paced, rapid development, startup-like environment as well as work independently

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master degree with 2+ years of demonstrated achievement with hardware-oriented analytics
  • Degree in quantitative field (e.g. Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering)
  • Experience developing data-driven applications for manufacturing fields
  • Good understanding of machine learning, deep learning or other statistical data analysis techniques, such as regression, time series analysis, hypothesis testing, classification, or clustering
  • Experience performing data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and visualization for medium to large datasets
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, etc.) and writing SQL queries
  • Able to do technical communication with colleagues in USA, India

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree with 2+ years of demonstrated achievement with hardware-oriented analytics
  • Confident user of ML/DL python packages including Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Keras, etc.
  • Hardware or process engineering experience in semiconductor industry
  • Understanding of physical systems (e.g. signals processing, sensors, semiconductors, manufacturing)
  • Experience developing and implementing process control systems integrated with ML/DL model
