Cargill, Incorporated seeks a full-time North American Data Science Leader based in Wayzata, MN. The North American Data Science Leader is responsible for leading a team and is a hands-on data scientist responsible for the development of highly complex proof of concepts, minimum viable products and fully deployable solutions.

This position requires

• a Master’s degree or equivalent in Predictive Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field and three years of related experience.
• Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:
  • (1) building machine learning tools based on computational systems that learn from and adapt to the presented data;
  • (2) developing Demand Forecast models using techniques including ARIMA, ARMAX, and VARMAX;
  • (3) using supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms to solve problems including creating a clustering algorithm using a k-means technique;
  • (4) building Linear Programming and Mixed Integer Linear Programming Optimization models to solve inventory and scheduling optimization problems;
  • (5) utilizing business analytics tools, including at least two of the following: Tableau, Spotfire and Power BI, to build intuitive dashboards based on user needs; and
  • (6) utilizing at least two of the following tools and technologies: Python, Gurobi, Cloudera Workbench, and AWS/Sagemaker.
• Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program.
• All experience may have been gained concurrently.
• Domestic travel required up to 10% of the time.
