We are currently recruiting a Manager, Data Strategy to join the Advanced Analytics department in Richmond, VA. or we are open to remote work arrangements.

Manager, Data Strategy will lead our Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Finance and HR initiatives through effective data management and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data-driven strategies, a keen business acumen, and the ability to use data insights to optimize revenue generation. This role requires a combination of analytical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of revenue management processes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our revenue growth management goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and gather relevant data from various sources, including sales, marketing, finance, HR and operations.
  • Design and implement data integration processes to ensure a consistent and reliable flow of information.
  • Collaborate with RGM team to design, build, and optimize machine learning models that address complex business challenges, from data preprocessing to model training and evaluation.
  • Implement models in a production environment and integrate them into existing systems or applications.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, marketing teams, finance teams, and other partners to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights.
  • Communicate architecture decisions, recommendations, and progress to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and related technologies.
  • Find opportunities to apply innovative approaches and techniques to improve model performance and business outcomes.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data analysts and data specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning

What we want you to have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, analytics, and revenue growth management.
  • Solid understanding of revenue management concepts, including pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and promotional optimization.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to understand data modeling needs.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team to deliver results.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic approach for turning data into useful strategies.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with various partners and present findings.
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data integration, and data pipeline design.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Prior experience in the consumer goods, retail, or related industries is advantageous.
  • Limited domestic travel required
