About this Position: 

North American Market Quality Department’s mission is to identify and resolve field quality problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain quality competitiveness. Our Forecasting Leader will review multiple data sources to evaluate, summarize and predict trends that lead to optimal business decisions being made to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, prepare, and apply data analytics expertise to evaluate all forecasts using various statistical forecasting methods and business intelligence.
• Prepare summaries of all material and evaluate forecasting patterns.
• Lead meetings with forecast requestor and assess that all information is provided with complete and accurate data.
• Take responsibility for final review of completed forecasts with requestors to ensure full understanding so that forecast can be officially closed.
• Create / modify innovate internal software tools to assist forecasting team.
• Perform analysis on various metrics such as seasonality, parts demand, days to fail & miles to fail patterns.
• Supervise statistical accuracy of current and future forecasts and adjust as needed based on market requirements.
• Drives cross confirmational forecasts that ensures the forecasts provided are of the highest accuracy possible within the agreed above time.
• Coaching of data analysis to provide highest level of predictive data analytics.

Who we are seeking:

Required Experience:

8-12 years of relevant job experience in predictive data analytics.

Required Education:

BS in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent relevant experience.

Other job-specific skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills (Design Thinking etc.)
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual) to clearly convey technical, business and policy information appropriately all levels including executive level.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experienced in Microsoft products.
• Proficient using common data science toolkits such as R and/or Python, VBA
• Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques
• Business intelligence (QlikView, Power BI) programming
• Proficient negotiation skills

Additional Position Factors:

• Workstyle: Hybrid
• This position will offer a combination of working in an open office environment and the ability to work from home 80% of the time.
• Travel may be required at times but will not exceed 3 days in any given year.
