In this role, you will be responsible for identifying data improvement areas, collaborating on solutions and building those solutions using a range of approved digital technologies. The Data Analytics Scientist will focus on growing the digital solutions that continuously improve processes, products, services, and software.

  • Ability to identify improvement areas and make plan to close the gap
  • Clearly presents and articulates purpose of Digital Transformation to all levels of associates
  • Advises and coaches leaders on how to adopt new ideologies to transform outcomes
  • Collaborates and forms deep relationships with IT to encourage ecosystem realignment for business enablement
  • Collaborates with a team of digital problem-solvers to deliver consistent, data-driven business outcome
  • Develops standard procedures, inputs, and outputs for digital products
  • Gathers stakeholder feedback and buy-in to continuously improve processes and systems
  • Responsible for developing and providing solutions which could include; automation of data entry, querying of databases etc.. to improve user experience and gain user efficiencies. (Tool examples: SQL, Python, Jupyter, Docker, Tableau, Squirrel, other open-source tools, etc.)
  • Demonstrates application of advanced theory and analysis of tools and software to job related issues.
  • romotes programs throughout North America to drive collaboration and engagement
  • Identify opportunities for process, system and analytics improvements which align with company needs and direction. Develop activities to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Lead system projects and navigate through the J-flow process. This includes preparations of presentations based on requirements at each milestone, presenting material and meeting project schedule and budget as planned.
  • Ensuring alignment of all system projects to overall Company needs

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/Computer Science, Supply Chain, Purchasing or Technical field (ie IT, Engineering) or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years’ experience in Data Science or Supply Chain or IT or Purchasing
  • Proven skills in the following: computer skills; effective verbal, presentation and written communication skills.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of system ownership; IS/IT; knowledge transfer, capability to learn, understand and able to explain the system’s capability and process.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Collaboratively design user-centric solutions
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimum supervision; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with limited direction
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based work environment
  • System deliverables launches meet customer requirements
  • System defect resolution with clear countermeasure implemented and limited impact to customers
  • Report continuous value delivery by working in an Agile environment with combined Business/IT resources

Additional Position Information

  • Typical travel: 1-2 times per Quarter
  • 5-10 hours per week overtime
