Work you’ll do 

  • Design and implement statistical models to analyze complex data sets and generate insights for business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven insights and opportunities to optimize business operations
  • Develop predictive models to forecast future trends and outcomes
  • Apply machine learning techniques to build predictive models and identify patterns in data
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes

 The GPS Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical field + 5 years of relevant data science experience
  • Experience working in data science and systems engineering in a professional services consulting environment or supporting a US Navy Program Office
  • Knowledge of Department of the Navy Configuration Management processes and PEO C4I databases including SPIDER, CM Pro, NSERC, and Naval Lift
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
  • Experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, such as linear regression, decision trees, clustering, and neural networks
  • Active Top Secret Clearance required and /SCI or SCI eligible 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related field
  • Familiarity with SQL and database systems
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • Active TS/SCI US Government Clearance.
