Location : Hybrid work environment:

• Monday, Thursday, and Friday are either from home or the office, your choice Tuesday and Wednesday are team days in our Wellness certified office in Dublin city center.
• We are growing our engineering team and are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Platform Engineer to join us. As part of the Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and building our platform’s infrastructure using the latest technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Help us continue to design and build scalable, reliable infrastructure
• Research solutions, kick the tyres and deploy prototypes
• Be able to clearly communicate your design choices and take feedback
• Write infrastructure as code using Terraform and other tools
• Use GitOps and CI/CD to automatically test and deploy your code
• Write great documentation, go nuts with diagrams
• Monitor your infrastructure with Grafana, Prometheus and other tools
• Keep abreast of the latest and emerging technologies

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, working with large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Linux skills
• Experience with at least one Cloud service provider (AWS preferred)
• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, or Other Similar Tools
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including load balancing, DNS, and security protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS).
• Critical thinker, with great problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, able to work remotely and prioritize workload
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have

• AWS certification (DevOps Engineer, SysOps Engineer, Cloud Architect)
• Kubernetes certification (CKA)
• Linux certification (RHCE, LPIC)
• Familiarity with log management and analysis tools like ELK Stack, Splunk, or Sumo Logic.
• Experience at a startup, or in greenfield projects
