Iodine Software is seeking another Vice President, Data Sciences to join the team!

What you’ll do:

As a Vice President of Data Sciences at Iodine, you will focus on 4 key areas responsibility:

Innovation

• Investigate new technologies and their applicability to augment existing products or develop new products
• Help define product technical viability in combination with Product strategy and executive team
• clarify the capabilities of new technologies and their potential applications
• identify what problems are tractable given the capabilities of currently available technologies and estimate effort and gaps we'd need to fill
• define technical requirements - technical definition of the problem we're trying to solve, possible approaches, metrics for success
• Implement proof of concept applications of AI technologies to problems we're trying to solve

Technical Execution

• oversee efforts of data science team
• brainstorm on approaches and experiments
• validate approach
• review findings and evaluate readiness
• mentorship

M&A / Partnerships

• evaluate technology of potential partners / acquisition targets
• where does it overlap and where does it augment our offerings?
• How technically sound is it? probe likely weak point
• what holes in our current offering or new use cases would adding this technology allow us to address
•  identify technological gaps in our current capabilities and provide guidance to strategy team of what types of technologies to look for

Thought Leadership

• Participate in calls with analysts, prospects and customers to communicate our approach and our differentiation
• Be a thought leader and support our AI leadership capabilities

What we’d love to see:

Minimum Requirements (Education, certifications, and experience):

• BS from an accredited institution in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience
• 5+ years experience managing a team
• Working knowledge of Python.
