What we’re looking for:

We are currently seeking an experienced Database Architect to join our team and play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our databases that power our AI-driven applications.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement scalable and robust database architectures to support our growing suite of products.
• Work closely with the development team to review the data models and institute best practices for data modeling & architecture.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity, security, and availability across multiple environments.
• Develop and maintain data models, database schemas, and metadata repositories.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database architecture, design, and implementation.
• Assist in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the database ecosystem at Iodine.

What we’d love to see:

Minimum Requirements (Education, certifications, and experience):

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in database design, development, and administration, preferably in the healthcare or AI domain.
• Expert knowledge in SQL & NoSQL database systems like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and modern MPP warehouse systems such as Vertica, Redshift, Snowflake etc.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and relational database design principles.
• Expertise with database performance tuning, optimization, and security.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EDI Claims, etc.) and revenue cycle management processes.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
