What you get to do in this role:

As an integral member of ServiceNow's Sales Analytics team, the Sr Data Scientist will leverage advanced analytics and business acumen to help organizational leaders make data-driven decisions.

This role will work with opportunity, contract, and usage data to help the sellers and sales leaders to drive bookings and get the most out of their people. This will involve creating predictive models, standing up reporting capabilities, and becoming a source of thought leadership for analytics strategy.

Typical questions you may be asked to answer will range from explicit reporting such as “What is the probability that a certain opportunity will be won?”, and also more nuanced questions such as “What customers look most similar to customers who have bought X product?”

Job Responsibilities

The Sr Data Scientist will be responsible for conducting ad-hoc analyses, dashboard creation, and predictive analytics. They will be a source for thought leadership for their dedicated org, and therefore must possess high business acumen as well as a strong understanding of data and analytics to drive impactful business decisions.

Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role:

  • 6-10 years of advanced analytics and/or data science experience
  • Experience building predictive models (regression, classification) is a must
  • Experience with unsupervised learning (clustering) is a must
  • Strong understanding of relational databases
  • Snowflake experience is a plus
  • Advanced SQL knowledge is a must
  • Python (ML libraries)
  • R proficiency
  • PowerBI or Tableau experience
  • Analytics masters or MBA is preferred
  • Experience with SFDC/Opportunity data is a plus
  • SaaS analytics, subscription models, and finance experience is a plus
  • Proactive attitude and approach to work
  • Ability to effectively prioritize deliverables with high quality and on-time delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, presentation abilities, and strong business acumen
