About The Role

In this role, you will be a member of Nuro’s Behavior ML applied research team, working on bleeding edge technical challenges and exploring novel and advanced machine learning methods to solve practical real world challenging problems. If you love solving challenging new problems with a mindset of deriving practical solutions to eventually be used on the vehicle, come join us!

About The Work

• Research and develop machine learning solutions to challenges in autonomous driving
• Collaborate within an ML applied research team working on agent prediction and planning
• Work on projects from end-to-end; ideate, implement, experiment, and iterate
• Deploy successful projects onto real AVs

About You

You have deep expertise and prior experience in some or many of the following areas:

• You are currently in a PhD program focusing in one or more of the following areas: Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a closely related field
• You have subject matter expertise and research in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, ML for AV Prediction or Planning, Generative Modeling, Natural Language Processing, Sequential Decision Making, Large Language Modeling)
• You have strong problem solving and programming skills in C++ or Python
• You are a strong collaborator, and work well both individually and as a part of a team to manage a research project from start to finish.
• Demonstrated research publications in any of the major conferences (RSS, ICRA, CoRL, CVPR, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, ICCV, AAAI, etc.)
