Job Description

As a BI professional at Indeed, your role is to be an expert at understanding Indeed's data. We expect you to aid Marketing teams in drawing insight from our data. This includes creating dashboards, visualizations, algorithms, and business tools for use across the organization. Responsibilities

• Aid Marketing teams in drawing insight from Indeed’s data and focusing on business-facing analytics, predictive modeling, forecasting, and building models
• Create interactive dashboards, visualizations, and business tools for use across the organization and develop reports and analysis templates using Jupyter notebooks and Tableau 
• Use Python Coding for reports, dashboards, and visualizations and use Python, Pandas, and Numpy to help stakeholders improve their performance, and to design algorithms
• Design and maintain dimensional data models in support of BI needs and create ETL pipelines to populate these models
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions and interface with business customers
• Align and influence work to achieve goals across multiple stakeholder groups

Who You Are

Requirements

• 3+ Years of SQL. Must have the ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
• 3+ years of solid Python programming skills to cleanse, manipulate, and present data, particularly using Pandas and Numpy 
• 3+ years of Industry experience in report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence, or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques, and technology 
• Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfort presenting to everyone from entry-level employees to senior vice presidents
• Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
• Sensitivity to clients' needs and ability to develop warm client relationships
• Curiosity and passion for data, visualization, and solving problems
• Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data
• Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets
• Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data, and assumptions
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment 
• B.S./M.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field 

What we'd love to see (but isn’t required):

• Experience with Tableau or equivalent visualization tool to create impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards
• Data engineering (ETL or ELT) with proficiency in building data pipelines using Python; using large-scale distributed data warehouse solutions
