Your Job

As a Business Intelligence Manager - Data Development at Indeed, you will be a part of the Business Intelligence organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and team leadership and management for Indeed’s Enterprise business teams
• Lead business intelligence platform integration and maintenance, defining and building reports and dashboards
• Help boost company performance through revenue or efficiency gains, as a result of the BI Team’s efforts
• Have detailed knowledge of Indeed’s data, and processes
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement solutions that meet their needs, while making sure the priorities for your team are properly aligned to business needs
• Collaborate with BI leaders across Indeed to drive business performance locally and globally
• Empower members of your team to grow their skillset and advance their career goals
• Define strategy and goals for the BI Finance area
• Learn from, and share knowledge and skills with your peers to grow all of BI’s impact to the organization
• Lead and direct other team member’s projects to ensure a high quality work product, and partner with team members across the broader org
• Become a subject matter expert and trusted partner supporting the analytical needs of the Enterprise business teams
• Build relationships across teams to leverage and extend existing analytical research

• Deploy advanced applications of descriptive and predictive analytics to corporate finance processes, and stay current on best practices in the field
• Understand your business stakeholders’ objectives, the metrics that are the most important to them, and how they measure their performance
• Turn business requirements into technical requirements

Who You Are

Required Skills

• 4+ years experience leading BI teams
• Experience leading cross functional teams to deliver business value through data
• Experience analyzing high volumes of data for multiple purposes in a dynamic environment
• Track record in driving a data driven culture across business units
• Previous or current Python, SQL programming experience
• Strong quantitative skills
• Ability to simultaneously manage large projects and manage rapid delivery of requests
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong ability to coach analysts, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
• Experience with business intelligence tools, e.g. Tableau
• Experience with cloud platform data warehouse technologies. E.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Red Shift
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfort presenting to everyone from entry-level employees to senior vice presidents
• Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
• Sensitivity to clients' needs and able to develop warm client relationships
• Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets
• Industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology

Desired Skills

• M.S. in math, statistics, computer science, engineering or equivalent technical field
• Experience with Tableau or equivalency to create impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards
• Experience with how a BI and Data Management strategies in a larger organization
